I have also heard the Larry H had to evacuate and the house may have had major damage. If you are a Union member, CWA has a disaster relief fund that you can apply to for money to help cover your loses. If you have sustained damages and are a member, please contact me and I will work on getting the paperwork to you.
I managed to get to the other side of town today and stopped in a West and West 2. It felt so good to see and talk to other staff members. The staff there was busy, busy, busy. And they were taking many calls from the public inquiring about the library. Nice to know people care. I also saw and spoke to all the managers (not they aren't staff members, but you know what I mean.) They are still anxious to get into the building to get the Unicorn server. But that has been blocked by the city still due to safety concerns. They are making plans for a staff meeting to be held later this week. Tam is busy going to meetings for the city. They are busy trying to get us all back to work in some capacity.
Does anyone know what happened out at the Substance Abuse clearinghouse? If anyone has emails for Substance Abuse staffers, please make sure they are invited to the blog. I heard that the Friends were able to move most of their materials to a higher floor. Can anyone confirm this?
There is a board meeting scheduled for 4pm tomorrow at the Marion Public Library to deal with emergency issues. I will attend that and post notes from it on this blog.

Clearinghouse News
Just spoke with Renee Taylor from the clearinghouse. Sandy Booth (Palo) is staying with her son near Aegon. She hopes to get into her home in the next couple of days to assess the situation. Renee is so desperate to work she mowed 3 lawns today! She's available to help out in any way she can. Rebecca, please add her to your email list: true2308@aol.com.

ISAIC
Hi-- we don't have details yet about the ISAIC Clearinghouse. Renee, Jean, and I, along with my husband and a neighbor, were able to move many items up higher at the Clearinghouse so we'll just have to wait to see if it is high enough.
Thanks -- Barb Gay
