It's great to have this forum, thank you everyone for participating. Karen/Tam--do you have any idea what kind of schedules you'll want people to be working? I want to arrange additional childcare if you need/want me beyond 8:30-5. I'm looking forward to seeing you all soon.
Does the city need any of us to staff phones to distribute info about City and County services/locations/hours? To clean pet cages at Kirkwood? I'm willing to help where needed but also want to return to helping the library as soon as possible.
I noticed in the press release it talks about returning materials. Should we be encouraging people to do that or to hold onto materials due to space constraints? I had one person ask about materials lost in the flood. She doesn't have any renters insurance--can we co-ordinate a database of lost materials and submit a FEMA claim??
I realize answers won't be available for all these questions but wanted to start us all brainstorming.

I have another question or two (and it made me giggle when I realized just how trivial they were)but here goes anyway-
1) if we have our card # memorized, do we need to have the physical card with us to check out material? and 2)when we we assigned our I.D. badges, we were told that replacing them would entail our paying a fine- but what about those badges destroyed by the flood? I'm asking the questions because my badge (with my Library card attached) is "safe and sound" in my locker at CRPL.
